Thanksgiving 2015

Thanksgiving was prepared in 2015 with Alison's and Haley's excellent help.

All are ready for the blessing.

Johnny woke up from his nap in time to participate
The red stuff was enjoyed by all.
On black Friday, we went to the.....ZOO!

Johnny found the Rhino.

We enjoyed the elephants, real and bronze.

We had dinner at El Charro's. Here we are outside.

Saturday, Haley, Gordon, Johnny and I went off road driving in the Tucson wash. We drove through a slot canyon...
...and under an old railroad trestle.

Alison and Gordon left Sunday for California and Haley left to go home to Utah. We have Johnny staying here all week.

Alison and Johnny

Look who came to visit.
At Baggage Claim

Johnny was thrilled about his doggy encounter.

I sold my motorcycle seat on ebay this week. This was the 'no turning back' event. It was surprisingly hard to say goodbye. Lots of sentiment built up over 15 years.

Let your Light Shine

"On Friday morning, hours before news broke that terrorists killed 129 people and wounded hundreds of other innocent victims in coordinated, bloody attacks all around Paris, President Obama told Americans that “we have contained” the advance of the Islamic State...

We must wage the war to defeat the enemy, not merely to harass it." - Mitt Romney

When American and western influence retreats, tyrants fill the void and millions die or are forced to live with highly restricted freedoms.

President Obama came into office pledging to end two wars. He will leave office with America engaged in three wars. We are the most equipped nation to lead and it doesn't work to do it from behind.

On a lighter note, pun intended. I treated my frosted headlight on my truck with the 3M headlight restoration kit and got it looking almost like new.

Before

After
I was in Dallas last week for work. We drove to McKinney. There is no undeveloped land anymore between Plano and McKinney along 75. Business in Texas is booming while business in Tucson is languishing.

We are praying that Gordon and Alison can sell their house in Houston quickly, Eric can get a new shift at work so his time home better aligns with when Krystal is home, and that Haley can arrange her move to Maryanne's place.

I have Jury Duty on Tuesday (11/17) and Felicia is going in for a colonoscopy on Wednesday. she has had some digestive problems that we haven't been able to figure out.

Dining with Family

We just returned from San Antonio where we attended Krystal and Eric's reception #2 (It was actually in New Braunfels).

Gordon couldn't come because he was in California for his new job. He has made an offer on the condo below.

Haley had just returned from Rio and had to work so she couldn't come to Texas.

The Texas reception went well and was held in a beautiful home owned by a former LA policeman (if I understood correctly).

The cake was a styled for Eric. Yes that is a Yoda figure standing next to the second layer.

Eric and Krystal greeted all the guests.
His friend Tory and wife drove all the way from Mississippi to be there.
The rain only came a short while so we were able to go outside until it got too cold.

Eric had to rest his legs a bit.

The whole wedding experience included several family dining opportunities permitting us to catch up with family members.

I will throw in a photo of Gordon's family for good measure.
