Temple Rises - 4/2/16
As four new LDS temples were announced today, the Tucson LDS Temple is rising and looking more magnificent.
It shows up prominently from Skyline Rd.
Now people are starting to complain. This is from today's "Letters to the Editor" in the Daily Star
Mormon temple blocks mountain views
Re: the May 4 article “Foothills site likely for Mormon temple.”Too bad part of the spiritual thought process for all of the people involved in the planning and execution of this structure wasn’t also geared toward the surrounding neighbors in the community, who may or may not be Mormons. As you know, the citizens of Tucson value their mountain views greatly. To a number of people whose homes are seriously affected and dramatically altered by the placement of this substantial structure, it has been a shock for surrounding neighborhoods as the construction process commences and neighbors and other residents of Tucson see the reality of its enormity. The myopic, positive view shared by the Mormon resident and neighborhood association president of Shadow Roc quoted in one of your earlier stories is not the one I hear over and over again in the surrounding community.

I think this man will discover that his home is not dramatically altered in a bad way.
On Monday I sold the little Honda to a very excited young man (probably 27 years old).
On Friday I bought a BMW F800GS from a 72 year old man.
I am still getting used to it. It definitely works great on the highway . Lots more power and lots more weight.
My least favorite part is the bumper sticker.
I road it to help Carol and Sarah Bridges move yesterday and Bro. Humuston parked behind me. He asked if he was too close.
