Sin City

We arrived in Vegas to discover this was our hotel. I had earned a free night through the Choice Hotels group and had selected this resort from their Ascend Collection of hotels. At first we couldn't tell if it was a hotel or a shopping center.
Check out the name of the restaurant at the 'resort'.
Well we found the place to check in and they asked if I needed a cart for our luggage. Our room was on the 6th floor so I said yes. A bellhop was called and he met us at the car. I had to ask him for change for a $20 to get him a tip.

Our room turned out to be two adjoining rooms. This is 1st living area and kitchen.
Haley is in the 1st bedroom. It had an adjoining walk-in tiled shower.
 This is the 2nd bedroom.
This is the second living area.
 Here is the second kitchen.
The room included a washer/dryer. Altogether there were 3 showers, 2 toilets, and 5 sinks in this place, together with two king beds and two hide-a-bed couches.
Coming up the elevator, I was asked by another guest if I was an owner.  I'm thinking that I can't look that rich. Then I realize these are time-shares. Now that explains the way the rooms are setup with full kitchens, etc. I say no I am not an owner and he says he is trying to decide so he is asking everyone he sees.  After walking down the LV strip a bit, we conclude that owning a time-share in Las Vegas would be at the very bottom of our list.

The last time we were on the strip, Las Vegas was trying to be family friendly with the Circus Circus amusement park and various other attractions. I think they totally gave up on that.  While walking along now you are constantly being offered porno cards and free drinks. People are dressed in skimpy clothing and they are not completely sober. We stopped by the Bellagio to see the water show. While it was interesting, it paled in comparison to Disney's World of Color.

In the morning, Haley wanted to go to the Polaroid Museum.

Andy Warhol was there so I stopped to talk with him.
He didn't seem very interested in conversing with me.

At the Flamingo a girl asked Eric and Haley if they wanted to have a picture with her birds. She put these two parrots on their shoulders and Felicia started to take a picture when a girl witha big camera stepped up and said "No personal photos!" I was standing back and didn't hear what she said. Whoops!

We made a long hot walk to the Hershey store we saw while driving to park. We had to dodge many card pushers and homemade cartoon character costumes on the way.

We decided we needed to cleanse our souls so we drove to the temple grounds. The temple is about as far from the strip as possible while still being in LV.
