Easter 2014

I've decided to start a blog using a  more 'mainstream' format since few were using or liking the 'my family' site.

It is Easter in Arizona and the Ocotillo are in bloom.

Eric and Haley had a one week break from school and drove to Tucson for a visit. They stopped in Brigham City on the way down and got keys to Grandma Reese's house from Sister Anderson to spend the night. My mom is now living with Janet and the house in Brigham is empty. They seemed to be able to figure out the alarm system easily enough, but felt weird staying there without Grandma and Grandpa.
Eric celebrated his birthday while here but couldn't fully enjoy things since he got sock to his stomach from an old bag of Cheetos.
I was finally able to get my truck repaired while the kids were here.  Here is the before...
...and after
Nice to have the truck back to normal...and they used air freshener on the the inside. Felicia enjoyed the turbo-powered rental while the repair was going on.
Sooner than we liked, we had to say goodbye to Eric (though his stomach was still unsettled)...
...and Haley (unhappy at the prospect of stopping at every rest stop).

 Good bye kids!

Here are some photos from when we were in Utah for Dad's funeral.

We found the old boxcar that Dad and Uncle Lou Dell lived in while they were kids working at the cherry cannery in Perry, UT. Here is Gordon's family out front of the boxcar.
Here is the boxcar exploration committee.

Here is the St George Temple
Felicia at Pioneer Park in St George.

Here is the houseboat we want to rent at Lake Powell for a family reunion...someday.
